ABOUT ME
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT) with more than thirty-one years of clinical experience. I have been working as a licensed counselor since 1989. I have experience conducting individual, couples and group therapy, both in the office, in a medical setting, in the field, and hospital settings. I have been an instructor working at the Masters level at three Universities in the area. I work well with depression, anxiety, relationships, parenting issues, grief/loss, insomnia, addiction, trauma, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, OCD, bipolar, as well as personal growth, adjustment issues, and crisis.
I utilize techniques from person-centered, solution/goal focused, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I provide a judgment free, safe and supportive experience. This means that I attempt to join with you "where you are at". I believe that every behavior has a purpose and is an attempt to meet a need. It isn't until we discover what that need is and find a "healthier" or more "productive" way of meeting that need that the behavior no longer is necessary.
I look forward to working with you...

"Every behavior has a purpose behind it,
and is an attempt to meet a need.
Find out what that need is,
and find a healthy way to meet the need
and the behaviour won't be needed." _
